In-house scanning project ?

If you are choosing a scanner for an in-house project then finding the right scanner depends on the following

• How many pages / documents do you need to scan ?
• What type of documents need to be scanned ?
• How quickly do you need to get this scanned ?
• How much time will this take you ?

Large Format

If you are scanning larger than A3 in size then you need to look at our scanners under the "Plans & Drawings" menu. These are called large format scanners and range from A2 upto 44" wide and as long as you need.

Document Scanners

Most of our scanners are A3 capable.

Most handle colour as well but one doesn't - the Canon DR-7580

We have listed the rating of the scanners in terms of pages per day - this helps you work out what scanner you need. If for example you have 20 filing cabinets to scan and you want to do it in under a month, you need a scanner like the DR-9080c capable of at least 10,000 pages per day.

Feeds & Speeds

Your choice of scanner really does come down to feeds & speeds. This means the paper handling capability (feeds) and the pages per minute (speeds). Again, work back to the physical amount of documents you need to scan and then work out what scanner is right for you - but - just ask - we are very experienced and we run a scanning bureau ourselves so have all the tips and tricks you need to get the best of a hire term.
